Walking the Land
Our God, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, gave Abraham and his descendants the promised land – the land of Israel. Although the total size of the State of Israel is only about 8,630 square miles, it is a place of history between God and humanity, a panoramic view of the land, a pasture of natural parks, and a gem of archaeology. It is also a witness to many wars and battles. Yet, when the glories come again, it will be a land of hope – the hope that God promised to Abraham and his descendants.
Jerusalem
Jerusalem is the capital of Israel. This city is mentioned over 800 times in the Tanakh and New Covenant. Every corner of it bears witness to the tragedies of yesterday, the troubles of today, and the glories of tomorrow. Jerusalem is considered to be a holy place by the three major religions: Judaism, Christianity and Islam. People from all over the world come to visit. Before the destruction of the second temple in 70 CE, Jerusalem covered an area of about 445 acres. Nowadays, it has about 30,720 acres.
